International Literacy Day’s aim is to improve world literacy rates. It started in 1966 when UNESCO declared that the 8th of September would be used to highlight and improve literacy skills. The first ILD was celebrated in 1967 but even now more than half of children and adolescents aren’t reaching basic maths and literacy levels..
To help raise awareness of ILD, we’re encouraging you to create an inspirational International Literacy Day video to help young people improve their literacy. That might be encouraging them to read a favourite book of yours, it might be making a video to promote reading and language courses and classes in your area, or special programmes that you’ve organised.
To help you get started, here are three great templates for After Effects, for World Literacy Day, from Envato Elements where you can use as many templates as you like for a single subscription.
