B&W is having a —with historic film manufacturer Orwo releasing a new monochrome film stock (the brand’s first in 50 years), and Wes Anderson filming parts of “The French Dispatch” on B&W picture stock, there is definitely a nostalgic appeal that beckons artists—film and digital shooters alike—to eschew color in favor of something more . That’s why this week’s Photos of the Day theme is all about monochrome

This week’s theme: B&W

We want to your B&W pictures. Film, digital, and even instant photos are welcome…as as they’re ! And the subject matter/composition is entirely up to you. Will you channel your inner Ansel Adams, Henri Cartier Bresson, or Vivian Maier? We can’t wait to see! 

How to enter

To submit, use #popphotooftheday on Instagram or Twitter, or submit to our Flickr pool or (NEW!) Facebook group. There are no limits on how many images you can enter but be sure to tag or upload only your very best B&W shots!
